“Ammiro la semplicità di ogni specie, nella forma e nel comportamento, quale risultato perfetto delle condizioni ambientali che la circondano”.
Mi chiamo Andrea Battisti e sono nato nel 1986. Sono da sempre attratto dalla natura incontaminata, fauna soprattutto. Abito in Italia, in Piemonte, una situazione che mi permette di frequentare e di vivere l’ambiente alpino, uno dei sistemi naturali con la maggiore diversità di habitat d’Europa.
La passione per la fotografia naturalistica nasce con l’inizio dei miei studi universitari, che mi hanno portato a conseguire una laurea breve in Scienze Naturali e una magistrale in Biologia dell’ambiente. Lavoro tutt’ora come Naturalista e Biologo freelance.
Penso che la fotografia naturalistica sia un valido strumento di divulgazione e di valorizzazione della natura. Un mezzo in grado di comunicare istanti ed emozioni che scaturiscono nell’incontro tra uomo e natura. Penso che fotografare la natura e la fauna selvatica sia un contatto diretto con la vita che ci circonda.

My name is Andrea Battisti and I was born in 1986. I’ve always been interested in wildlife and wilderness. Living in northen Italy has always permitted me ejoying the Alps, one of the most differentiated ecosystem in the world.
My interest in nature photography began while I was attending university, where I obtained a Bachelor Degree in Natural Sciences and a Master Degree in Environmental Biology. Now I’m working as freelance Naturalist/Biologist.
I think nature photography is the best way to communicate moments and emotions arising from the encounter between man and nature.
In this perspective, wildlife photography should be seen as a direct link with life on earth.
